“𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙖 𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙡” 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙛-𝙗𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙩𝙮 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩!
We all have seen those posts.
We all have scrolled right past them.
I am talking about the posts where somebody says they were on a panel, and that’s it. No context, no content, nothing.
Just a picture of them sitting on a stage with some other people.
Now, if you post a picture of yourself on a panel, at the very least, please make sure it is framed well and focused on you.
And more importantly, a better way to post that you participated in a panel is to:
– Share who you presented to
– What you said
– Create content about it
This way, you’re engaging your network and starting a dialogue rather than just stating that you were on a panel.
Self-boasting doesn’t lead to anything but resentment from your network. So next time you’re tempted to post a picture of yourself on a panel, remember to add some meat to the bones!
