Make the product understandable
I use the product, question the assumptions, and translate what you built into a reason someone would try it or buy it. That becomes language you can use in a demo, website, pitch, or conversation.
Founder Marketing Partner
Founder marketing needs someone who can connect the idea, the customer, and the work. I help you explain what you built, choose where to focus, test demand, and carry decisions into delivery.
I’m already doing this with two founders: Ojasvi Jalal at Cauldron and Sean Meier at VRFD. I have room to work with more.
Discuss your marketing bottleneckWhen you need me
You can explain the product for an hour, but the website still misses it. You have people to contact, but no consistent follow-up. You keep getting advice while the decisions and delivery come back to you.
I work alongside you to connect those pieces. You get a person who understands the business well enough to question the brief, help make the decision, and stay with the work.
What I take on
I use the product, question the assumptions, and translate what you built into a reason someone would try it or buy it. That becomes language you can use in a demo, website, pitch, or conversation.
We identify the people with a reason to care now, the problem they recognize, and the evidence we need. I challenge an audience or offer that is too broad to test.
I help shape pilots, content, demonstrations, partner conversations, and relevant introductions. We connect each activity to a next step and learn from the response.
We define what someone gets, who delivers it, how the economics work, and what needs approval. I help you move from an interesting conversation to a proposal someone can act on.
I connect the website, content, contact capture, outreach, follow-up, and reporting. We assign owners, brief specialists when needed, and review what happened before choosing the next move.
Two founders I’m working with
Ojasvi Jalal · Cauldron
I used Cauldron in my own publishing and helped shape a creator pilot with the Marketing Accountability Council. I brought articles, prediction questions, audience context, and a plan for connecting readers to the product and back to the reporting.
Testing the workflow exposed a scaling question: creators still needed to email the founder to publish. I pushed on how that would work with more creators, tested the reader path, and connected the experience to conversion.
That work now extends to shaping newsletter sponsorship pilots, publisher outreach, and relevant introductions. I connect product use, positioning, distribution, and the commercial conversation.

I support Sean’s work on VRFD, a social network built around verified human participation. Our conversations test the gap between the founder’s conviction and a buyer’s reason to care: who needs it, what problem it addresses, and what evidence makes the promise credible.
Separately, Sean and I partner on the IAE AI advertising workstream within the wider effort with IEEE. I help turn our thinking about source, permission, responsibility, and change history into a framework and presentations the group can use.
That is the contribution I bring to founders: turn a complex idea into a clear story, connect it to practical choices, and produce the work that moves the conversation forward.
See my work with Sean and VRFDHow the relationship develops
Often it begins with a conversation, a product test, or a useful introduction. I ask the question you have been working around, spot a missing step, or help turn the idea into something you can show someone.
Then the role becomes clearer. You want me involved before the next pitch, launch, or partner conversation because I already understand the product, the audience, and the decisions behind it. You spend less time restarting the explanation and more time moving the work.
That is when we make the transaction explicit: the problem I own, the time I commit, the access I need, the outputs, and the fee. We agree on a defined project or an ongoing monthly role before paid work begins.
You can start that conversation now. Tell me where marketing keeps coming back to you, and we will identify a first piece of work worth paying for.
Your first engagement
We begin with the product, current message, customer evidence, and the result you need next. The first paid scope can focus on an offer, audience, pilot, launch, or outreach plan.
When you need continuing help, we can agree on a monthly role that connects strategy, relationships, and delivery. Fees reflect the scope and responsibility. You receive a written proposal before committing.
For this to work: you need to share the evidence, make decisions, and give the work access to the people who can carry it through.
I use what I recommend
My website, publishing, offers, contact capture, SingleFig follow-up, and partner relationships give me a place to apply the work myself. I bring what I learn into founder conversations, then test it against your business.
See the system behind my workShare what you built, who you want to reach, and where the work gets stuck. We can turn that into a useful first scope.
